Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna provide a loud mass motion entertainer that is strictly for the fanbase
There are films, and there are movies by director Boyapati Srinu. Then there are films by Boyapati Srinu starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. In the cinematic universe where the two collaborate, all the things is larger than daily life. Almost nothing is refined, not even remotely. In their 3rd outing collectively right after
Simha and
Legend , the two come to a decision to up the scale and the decibels. Telugu movie
Akhanda stars Balakrishna in a twin part, but we’ll come to that in a bit.

The director is informed of the star’s huge fanbase. Chants of ‘Jai Balayya’ are the norm when his movies arrive at the theatres. This time, the lovers took it a step further. Sample this: ‘Edukondalavada Venkataramana… jai Balayya!’ In
Akhanda , just one of the roles essayed by Balakrishna is akin to a demi-God, somebody who has superhuman powers. The other character performed by Balakrishna is named Murali Krishna, a Great Samaritan who has been instrumental in stopping faction strife and is revered by all.
With the phase established for a much larger-than-daily life canvas, Boyapati goes all out. The 167-minute film begins and ends with motion sequences that are diligently choreographed, with sufficient slow movement photographs created to be dutifully lapped up amid loud cheers. Balakrishna walks among two substantial wheels and later tyres that are rolling away, after beating individuals to a pulp, of training course, in slow movement.
Elsewhere, he thrusts a trishul into someone and turns it spherical a pair of times, just so we know he isn’t letting the evil kinds get away very easily. In another scene, bullets pop off someone’s cranium. Another man crushed up by Balakrishna and hurled up is still spinning in the air even though the star walks away in s.l.o.w.m.o.t.i.o.n. This is only the tip of the iceberg there’s a lot much more motion in the movie, unfolding to Thaman’s rousing rating.
The story is that of twins divided at delivery. Been there, viewed that? A uranium miner exploits the land and its folks to the hilt. Witnessed these kinds of stories as well? Boyapati offers these oft-repeated mainstream storylines an extra edge with the ‘Akhanda’ (invincible) aspect, throwing in a excellent evaluate of faith, spirituality, very good Vs. evil godmen.
The narrative unfolds in a common vogue, depicting the hero’s good deeds. There’s area for romance as perfectly. The new district collector Saranya Bachupalli (Pragya Jaiswal) is depicted far more as a passionate fascination and later as spouse and youthful mother than as a civil servant. She receives ample monitor time, but not more than enough scope to be taken very seriously as a district collector. The age distinction amongst the pair also appears glaring.
Poorna, as principal secretary Prabhavathi, probing the mining scandal, has a little far better scope to portray a no-nonsense authorities official.
Srikanth is cast as mine operator Varadaraju who understands no remorse. He eats at a bad woman’s home and in return, presents her with the severed head of the gentleman of the household. If that presents an idea of the depiction of evil in this movie, there’s a lot more. A series of barbaric activities sets the stage for the arrival of ‘Akhanda’ as the saviour.
The drama goes on and on, with Boyapati and crew not tiring of many a lot more action sequences. All this is laced with dialogues by M Ratnam. Some are sermons while most are punchlines — ‘
Meeku samasya vaste dandam pedataru, memu aa samasyake pindam pedatam both of those are not same’. Boyapati and Balakrishna seem to have extensively savored creating the movie.
Srikanth is introduced as a highly effective antagonist but at some point will come across as a normal villain. Several other characters fill the display screen but have no scope to make an influence.
The film will get tiresome post intermission and the incessantly higher voltage track record rating doesn’t aid possibly.
