A man was arrested immediately after allegedly shooting into his upstairs neighbors’ apartment.
The incident occurred June 19, when a girl named Memphis Law enforcement officers to an apartment in the 1500 block of Canterbury Lane.
She advised police she listened to gunshots and that several bullets went by the flooring of her apartment, in accordance to an affidavit.
Her partner and two toddlers were being within the condominium at the time.
No one was injured.
Law enforcement identified the bullets came from one more apartment.
Officers detained a guy identified as Steven M. Hargis in that apartment, as well as his 2-yr-aged baby, documents exhibit.
The toddler’s mom then arrived at the scene. The condominium is beneath her identify, police said.
She informed law enforcement Hargis was babysitting even though she was at work.
Police took photos of the bullet holes in the apartment’s ceiling, as effectively as the neighbor’s condominium flooring.
Law enforcement identified an AR-15 rifle and a 9mm pistol in Hargis’s apartment, documents exhibit.
All shell casings had been uncovered in a trash can in the kitchen area.
Hargis refused to speak with investigators.
He was arrested and taken to 201 Poplar.
Hargis is billed with five counts of Reckless Endangerment and five counts of Aggravated Assault, law enforcement reported.
