The Russian occupiers in Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, broke into the condominium of the legitimately elected mayor of the town, Dmitro Orlov, who moved to Zaporizhzhia following the profession of Enerhodar.

Quote: “Currently, seven armed occupiers and just one woman broke into my apartment. Most likely, a correspondent of a propaganda channel. They arrived to ‘visit’, recognizing that the house owners have not been there for a prolonged time.

Facts: Orlov additional that the occupiers sealed the apartment.

“I will not be surprised if a tale comes out shortly that ‘Orlov kept a javelin or a grenade launcher in just one of the children’s rooms,” the mayor reported.

History: 

  • Enerhodar is underneath profession by Russian troops.

  • At the end of March, Andrii Shevchyk, a deputy of the Enerhodar city council from the OPZZh [Opposition Platform — For Life], claimed that he had established up a “metropolis self-firm council” that would allegedly complete the functions of the town government, and declared himself its head.

  • In March, most Metropolis Council deputies resigned to avoid the occupiers from working with them to make unlawful choices versus Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

  • Enerhodar City Council officials moved to Zaporizhzhia in late April.
