I’m a big believer in seasonal breaks so I logged off for a week. It’s been great! I finished up a few projects in Florida, said goodbye to that special place, and closed up the house for a month. I flew home to California mid week and spent a few days reconnecting with my kids, I missed my teenagers so much!
After many long conversations, we’ve put off a full time move to Florida for another year. It felt too rushed to jump there permanently this fall and my son wants to finish school in California. This means I’ll fly back and forth and continue the renovations through winter and spring and return again next summer. The decision to postpone the move also buys me time to remodel parts of our California home before putting it up for sale at some point in the future. I feel both blessed and relieved to have slowed down the move and I confess I did miss California which has been my home for over forty years. I went to a birthday party at a vineyard yesterday and was sitting in the breeze watching the grapes grow, just appreciating the beauty around me.
I’ll be sharing the bathroom remodel this week and I have new autumn art prints that will be releasing in my print shop later this month. Hello there August, it’s almost fall! 2022 is flying by!
